Full & partial rewires
Older homes in the Tyne Valley often have thick stone walls, solid floors and decades of alterations, so a rewire needs careful planning.
- OZEV approved installer
- NAPIT registered
- Trading since 2013
- Based in Hexham
When a rewire makes sense
Rubber or fabric-insulated cable, no earth on lighting circuits, or widespread poor test results are typical reasons. An EICR is the honest way to find out, because not every older house needs rewiring.
Planning around older properties
- Cable routes chosen to limit chasing in stone and lime-plastered walls
- Room-by-room working where you're living in the house
- Coordination with joiners and plasterers during renovations
- Future-proofing: an EV circuit, outdoor power and data while the walls are open
If your home is listed, check with Northumberland County Council's planning team before any work that affects the building's fabric.

Thinking about an EV charger?
If we're already on site, it can make sense to prepare the circuit at the same time.
