Electrical fault finding & repairs
When the RCD keeps tripping or half the house has gone dead, you need the fault traced properly rather than guessed at.

Common faults we're called about
- An RCD or breaker that trips at random, or every time a particular appliance is used
- Sockets or lights that have stopped working on one circuit
- Outside lights and garden sockets that trip in wet weather
- Burning smells, scorched sockets or buzzing switches. Switch off and call
- Problems in outbuildings, workshops and garages fed from the house
How we trace a fault
We start by isolating circuits and testing insulation resistance and continuity to narrow the fault down, rather than replacing parts on spec. Once we've found it, we explain what caused it and what the repair involves before doing it. If the fault is a sign of a wider problem, such as damaged cable or an overloaded board, we'll say so honestly, but not every fault means you need a rewire.

Thinking about an EV charger?
If we're already on site, it can make sense to prepare the circuit at the same time.
