Consumer unit & fuse board upgrades
An old fuse board is one of the most common things we find on an EV survey, and one of the most worthwhile upgrades in an older home.
- OZEV approved installer
- NAPIT registered
- Trading since 2013
- Based in Hexham
Signs your board may need replacing
- Rewireable fuses (fuse wire) or an old board with no RCD protection
- No spare ways for a new circuit such as an EV charger, shower or garage supply
- Signs of heat damage, or a board in a poor state
- Nuisance tripping that affects lots of circuits at once
What's involved
Before fitting a new board we test the existing circuits, because a new board with modern protection can show up faults the old one hid. We'll talk you through any problems before we start. On completion you get an Electrical Installation Certificate, and the work is notified under building regulations as required.

Thinking about an EV charger?
If we're already on site, it can make sense to prepare the circuit at the same time.
